Judy Guthrie’s name was drawn at our April meeting and she is the lucky winner of our 2023 Opportunity Quilt!!!! She purchased her ticket from Glenis Orlowski (who happens to be her neighbor), so Glenis generously took the quilt to its new owner right after the meeting. Look at those happy faces on both Glenis and Judy. Many congratulations to Judy and all who supported our guild through the purchase of an Opportunity Quilt ticket.
Pride of the Prairie Opportunity Quilt 2023
And just like that the 2023 Pride of the Prairie Quilt Show is over!
I want to thank everyone for all their hard work in preparing for the quilt show. Sharon Thomsen said it best I think, “It takes a village”. It really does. Thank you to all of those who helped with set up on Friday evening and take down on Sunday evening. And special thanks to all the family members who gave their time and their muscles. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped during the quilt show to keep it running smoothly. Whenever there was a need, you stepped up.
It was such a good feeling to see so many people come through the show. There were plenty of “oohs” and “aahs” and smiles all around.
This quilt show was 5 years in the making. More than that, if you consider all the time that went into the quilts which were on display. We had such a great variety of quilts. So much love went into each and every one. You are a very talented group of ladies!
And, of course, CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners! Those ribbons were well deserved! Your quilts were stunning!
I also want to thank my co-chairs, Carol O’Dell, Sandy Piatak and Sharon Thomsen. They worked tirelessly to coordinate the facility, the equipment and the vendors. Thank you, ladies!
Now let the planning for the 2025 Quilt Show begin!!
