About Us
Our history
The Pride of the Prairie Quilters was founded in 1984 by a small group of women who shared an interest in quilting. They founded this organization to develop and promote an interest in the art of quilting. Today's members strive to keep the founding members as an inspiration to grow the concept. Over the years, POP has affectionately become our nickname.
Our mission
- To present programs of interest to members, educating through lectures and workshops.
- Encourage community involvement by participating in philanthropic activities.
- To invite and share ideas that promote an interest in quilting.
- To welcome all levels of experience!
Our meetings
- We typically meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month, January thru November.
- The meeting location is Zion Lutheran Church, 11007 Book Road, Naperville, IL.
- Guests are welcome to attend any program meeting for a small fee.
- Social time begins at 6:30pm with the meeting beginning promptly at 7:00pm and ending at 9:00pm.
- A regular guild meeting consists of announcements, show-and-tell and a scheduled program.
- Door prizes are raffled at each guild meeting. To be eligible, members must be wearing their nametags.
Membership
- Membership dues are $30.00 (March - Feb) or ($15.00 Oct. - Feb)
- Renewal dues are payable at either January or February's meeting.
- New members may join at anytime.

Guests
- Guest are always welcome at our meetings for a small fee. If there is a speaker during your visit, a $10.00 fee will apply. If there is not a speaker, attending the meeting is free. Attending POP meetings are a great way to see what we are all about.
Area charitable organizations and guilds...
- may display quilts for the purpose of selling raffle tickets at regular guild meetings.
- This activity should be limited to one quilt per meeting.
- Organizations should be directed to contact the President for arrangements.
