“It’s All in the Sashings!” Do you have a set of blocks that you just can’t decide what to do with? Barb will share a series of quilts and tops that feature blocks set with sashings and cornerstones. Some are simple and others are more involved. You will see side by side examples of the same setting and study how different they look based on the blocks and fabric choices. ♥September 21, 2017 – Tonye Phillips
Tonye was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where she learned the love of handwork from her mother. From crewel embroidery, to sewing, counted cross stitch and knitting, and then to quilting. Growing up with all of that hand sewing has carried over to her quilting. She now has a small studio in Sisters, Oregon but does most of her hand sewing at home or on the road. Suzi Parron is author of Barn Quilts and the American Trail Movement. She travels full time speaking to guilds and other groups about barn quilts and the trail. Suzi takes you on a journey along the quilt trail, beginning with the very first barn quilt. Her presentation features over 100 stunning photos of barn quilts.

Our December meeting will be our Holiday Treat which will be a Potato Bar and Silk Scarf Dying by Sara Hochhauser. You will be able to dye 1 scarf free. If you would like additional scarves, they would be $5.00 each. You also need to sign up for this event so that we have a count of people.
