The Zen of Quilting

Bonnie McCaffery’s quilts have been seen in such publications as Quilting Arts, American Quilter Magazine, Quilting International, Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine, and Craftworks. She is the author of “Fantasy Fabric: Techniques for Layered Surface Design”, “Fantasy Floral Quilts: Creating with Silk Flowers” and “Portrait Quilts: Painted Faces You Can Do”. You might recognize her from her appearances on Simply Quilts and The Quilt Show. Bonnie specializes in kaleidoscope quilts, free form applique quilts, dimensional quilts, layered quilts, Fantasy Fabric, Fantasy Floral quilts, Painted Faces for BEGINNERS and her newest venture – DoodleZenDotZ which combines doodles, bobbin embroidery & dots of paint for a beautiful effect.

August 15, 2019 – Beth Hunter

Thread –It’s What Holds It All Together

Beth, a Home Ec dropout, discovered the fun of cutting up perfectly good fabric into little bits in the 1980’s. Since then, she has participated in many quilt challenges. Her primary focus is playing “what if?” games when creating quilted projects. Most of her creations are happy accidents that start with an idea and grow. Visit Beth’s website at

September 19, 2019 – Toby Lischko

Toby will present a workshop entitled “I’m Seeing Stars”. A workshop will also be held entitled  “Northern Lights”, a beautiful kaleidoscope star quilt.


October 17, 2019 – Julie Letvin

Julie will present a lecture entitled “My Journey from King-sized to Miniature”.  Julie has been featured at the Iowa Quilt Museum and will bring miniature quilted jewelry, handy boxes made of old yardsticks, patterns and more.


November 21, 2019 – Gail Stepanek

Gail, an award winning quilter will present a lecture entitled “Flying by the Seat of my Pants” and a trunk show that is sure to inspire us all.

Holiday Make and Take


January 16, 2020

Annual Holiday Party.  We want you to bring the first quilt you ever made and what you feel is your best quilt.  We hope to do a display or show and tell that lets us each share our quilting journeys.


February 20, 2020 – Kathy Herbach

Kathy will present a Trunk Show for us and she’ll follow that with a workshop entitled “Beyond Basics Binding”
